They put in an average of a decade in education, the first four years in undergraduate studies to attain a Bachelors Degree, and the 2nd 4 years in Medical School to attain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to usual medical school and actually several podiatry programs are located within these institutions. After attaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute perform a hospital "internship" or residency for an additional 1 to 3 years.
