Foot Institute Doctors invest about 10 years in learning, the first four years in undergraduate studies to attain a Bachelors Degree, and the second four years in Medical School to get a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School corresponds to traditional medical school and in fact a number of podiatry programmes are located within these institutions. After achieving a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for yet another one to three years.

Upon the completion of the internship or post degree residency, our Podiatric doctors have gained extensive health care education with an emphasis on problems pertaining to the ankles and feet. They are studied to treat issues ranging from commonplace disorders for example, fungal and ingrown toe nails, to those which are much more obscure for example clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our physicians have substantial surgical training which supply them the skill vital to execute surgical treatment on those problems that are best treated through surgical intervention.
