Our doctors spend approximately 10 years in higher education, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to attain a Bachelors Degree, and the second 4 years in Medical School to secure a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to traditional medical school and in fact numerous podiatry training programs lie inside these schools. Upon obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or residency for another 1 - 3 years.

At the completion of the internship or post degree residency, our Doctors have received thorough medical training with a focus on problems involving the feet and ankles. They are educated to care for conditions ranging from general problems for instance, ingrown and fungal toenails, to those which are much more obscure like clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our Doctors likewise have a thorough practical knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet endure as we walk, run or perform other activities.
