Our doctors invest approximately 10 years in learning, the first four years in undergraduate studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the second 4 years in Medical School to secure a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School corresponds to regular medical school and in fact numerous podiatry programs are located inside these academic institutions. Upon acquiring a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or residency for an additional one to three years.

At the fulfillment of the internship or residency, our Podiatrists have received thorough healthcare training with an emphasis on issues pertaining to the ankles and feet. They are studied to treat problems extending from standard ailments for instance, ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are even more obscure for example clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our physicians have considerable surgical education which provide them the practical experience required to conduct surgical treatment on those problems that are best treated through surgical intervention.
