Foot Institute Doctors devote an average of ten years in learning, the first four years in undergraduate studies to acquire a Bachelors Degree, and the second four years in Medical School to have a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles typical medical school and in point of fact several podiatry training programs are located within these schools. After procuring a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute undertake a hospital "internship" or residency for an additional 1 to 3 years.
