Upon attaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute undertake a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for another one to three years.

Upon the finalization of the internship or post degree residency, our Podiatric physicians have acquired significant medical education with a stress on problems pertaining to the ankles and feet. Foot Institute Doctors are skilled to manage problems ranging from usual ailments for instance, fungal and ingrown toe nails, to those which are far more complicated including clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our physicians have significant surgical education which furnish them the prior experience needed to execute surgical treatment on those issues that are best managed through surgical intervention.

Foot Institute Doctors also have a comprehensive expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet undergo as we walk, run or perform other tasks. Recognizing biomechanics and gait deviations empowers a Podiatrist to create shoes and orthotics which can deliver pain relief and minimize the risk of many problems which the feet regularly encounter.
