Foot Institute Podiatrists invest about a decade in higher education, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to secure a Bachelors Degree, and the second four years in Medical School to secure a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to conventional medical school and in fact numerous podiatry programmes are located inside these academic institutions. Upon obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or residency for another one to three years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Podiatric physicians have received extensive medical instruction with a concentration on concerns pertaining to the feet and ankles. Foot Institute Doctors are instructed to address problems ranging from commonplace disorders such as fungal and ingrown toe nails, to those which are a lot more obscure for instance, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our physicians have extensive surgical instruction which furnish them the experience necessary to conduct surgical treatment on those problems that are best treated through surgical intervention.

Doctors at the Foot Institute also have a thorough practical knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs submit to as we walk, run or perform other activities.
