They invest an average of ten years in higher education, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to get a Bachelors Degree, and the 2nd four years in Medical School to get a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to regular medical school and in point of fact many podiatry programmes are located inside these schools. At the fulfillment of the internship or residency, our Podiatric doctors have obtained comprehensive medical education with an importance on problems involving the feet and ankles. Foot Institute Doctors are trained to handle issues extending from familiar problems such as ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are a lot more complicated for example, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at The Foot Institute have comprehensive surgical education which furnish them the practical experience necessary to perform surgical treatment on those concerns that are best treated through surgical treatment.

Foot Institute Doctors furthermore have a thorough practical knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs withstand as we walk, run or perform other activities.
