They put in about a decade in higher education, the first four years in undergrad studies to secure a Bachelors Degree, and the second 4 years in Medical School to acquire a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles conventional medical school and in fact several podiatry training programs lie inside these academic institutions. Upon achieving a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute carry out a hospital "internship" or residency for another one to three years.

At the conclusion of the internship or residency, our Podiatric physicians have gained extensive medical training with a concentration on problems concerning the ankles and feet. Foot Institute Doctors are instructed to manage concerns ranging from general ailments such as fungal and ingrown toenails, to those which are far more challenging for example, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot.
