Doctors here at The Foot Institute – Grande Prairie specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of the foot and ankle. Our podiatrists devote an average of a decade in higher education, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the second 4 years in Medical School to receive a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles typical medical school and as a matter of fact various podiatry programs lie within these schools. After securing a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or residency for another one to three years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Foot doctors have acquired wide-ranging medical instruction with an attention to on issues concerning the feet and ankles. They are trained to treat conditions ranging from typical problems for instance, ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are much more obscure like clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our Doctors have comprehensive surgical instruction which give them the experience necessary to execute surgical treatment on those problems that are best treated through surgical intervention.

Our Doctors additionally have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet withstand as we walk, run or carry out other tasks.
