They spend an average of ten years in higher education, the first four years in undergrad studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the following four years in Medical School to secure a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to regular medical school and as a matter of fact several podiatry programs are contained inside these academic institutions. Upon securing a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute undertake a hospital "internship" or residency for an additional 1 to 3 years.

Upon the completion of the internship or post degree residency, our Foot doctors have obtained comprehensive health care education with an emphasis on complications concerning the feet and ankles. They are educated to handle concerns stretching from normal ailments for example, ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are much more intricate for example, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot.
