Our doctors put in around 10 years in higher education, the first four years in undergraduate studies to receive a Bachelors Degree, and the following 4 years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to conventional medical school and as a matter of fact a number of podiatry programmes are located inside these schools. Upon getting a Podiatric Medial Degree, Podiatrists at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for another one to three years.

Upon the completion of the internship or post degree residency, our Podiatric doctors have gained thorough medical instruction with a concentration on issues concerning the ankles and feet. They are trained to care for problems varying from standard afflictions like ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are even more challenging like clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our Doctors have substantial surgical training which furnish them the skill essential to carry out surgery on those issues that are best treated through surgical treatment.

Foot Institute Doctors also have a thorough knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet go through as we walk, run or carry out other tasks.
