Foot Institute Doctors put in an average of 10 years in education, the first four years in undergraduate studies to get a Bachelors Degree, and the following 4 years in Medical School to get a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to traditional medical school and in fact numerous podiatry training programs are located inside these schools. At the fulfillment of the internship or post degree residency, our Foot doctors have obtained encompassing health care education with a concentration on difficulties involving the ankles and feet. They are skilled to deal with problems extending from normal ailments for instance ingrown and fungal toenails, to those which are much more puzzling including clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at the Foot Institute have extensive surgical training which furnish them the practical experience required to conduct surgery on those concerns that are best handled through surgical intervention.

Foot Institute Doctors furthermore have a thorough practical knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet submit to as we walk, run or perform other activities. Knowing biomechanics and gait problems makes it possible for a Podiatric doctor to develop shoes and orthotics that can provide pain relief and protect against a large number of troubles which the feet generally encounter.
