Doctors here at The Foot Institute – Camrose provide services for the medical and surgical therapy of the foot and ankle. Our podiatrists devote approximately 10 years in learning, the first four years in undergraduate studies to attain a Bachelors Degree, and the next 4 years in Medical School to acquire a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School corresponds to usual medical school and actually many podiatry programmes are located within these schools. Upon getting a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or residency for yet another 1 - 3 years.

Upon the completion of the internship or residency, our Doctors have acquired comprehensive medical training with an attention to on problems pertaining to the ankles and feet. They are trained to treat concerns ranging from familiar ailments for instance, fungal and ingrown toenails, to those which are far more complicated like clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our Doctors have significant surgical training which supply them the experience essential to perform surgery on those troubles that are best remedied through surgical intervention.

Our Doctors furthermore have an extensive expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs undergo as we walk, run or perform other activities.
