Camrose Podiatrist & Foot Clinic

Health professionals here at The Foot Institute – Camrose concentrate on the medical and surgical therapy of the foot and ankle. Our doctors spend about 10 years in learning, the first four years in undergrad studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the next four years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles standard medical school and as a matter of fact numerous podiatry programmes are contained inside these schools. After securing a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or residency for an additional 1 - 3 years.

At the finalization of the internship or post degree residency, our Doctors have obtained extensive healthcare training with an importance on problems involving the feet and ankles. They are taught to treat issues ranging from familiar afflictions like fungal and ingrown toe nails, to those which are more puzzling like clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our physicians have extensive surgical instruction which provide them the experience vital to conduct surgery on those concerns that are ideally handled through surgical intervention.

Our Doctors likewise have an extensive practical knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs undergo as we walk, run or perform other tasks. Recognizing biomechanics and gait deviations permits a Podiatrist to design footwear and orthotics that can provide pain relief and reduce the chances of numerous issues which the feet regularly experience.
