Camrose Podiatrist & Foot Clinic

Medical doctors at The Foot Institute – Camrose provide services for the medical and surgical therapy of the foot and ankle. They put in about 10 years in higher education, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to secure a Bachelors Degree, and the 2nd four years in Medical School to acquire a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles regular medical school and various podiatry training programs are located inside these academic institutions. After receiving a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute carry out a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for yet another one to three years.

At the completion of the internship or post degree residency, our Foot doctors have obtained extensive medical training with an emphasis on difficulties concerning the ankles and feet. They are trained to care for problems ranging from regular conditions such as ingrown and fungal toenails, to those which are even more sophisticated including clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at The Foot Institute have extensive surgical education which give them the practical experience necessary to conduct surgical treatment on those concerns that are ideally treated through surgical treatment.

Our Doctors additionally have a comprehensive expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs undergo as we walk, run or perform other tasks. Understanding biomechanics and gait abnormalities makes it possible for a Podiatric physician to design footwear and orthotics which can deliver pain relief and reduce the chances of countless problems which the feet commonly encounter.
