Camrose Podiatrist & Foot Clinic

Dr.’s at The Foot Institute – Camrose provide services for the surgical and medical treatment of the ankle and foot. They invest about a decade in learning, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the second 4 years in Medical School to acquire a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles usual medical school and many podiatry training programs are contained inside these academic institutions. After getting a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or residency for an additional one to three years.

Upon the fulfillment of the internship or residency, our Doctors have acquired wide-ranging healthcare instruction with an emphasis on concerns pertaining to the ankles and feet. They are taught to treat issues varying from general ailments for instance ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are even more obscure such as clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at the Foot Institute have considerable surgical instruction which provide them the prior experience needed to execute surgical treatment on those issues that are best treated through surgical intervention.

Our Doctors furthermore have a thorough knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet withstand as we walk, run or perform other activities. Recognizing biomechanics and gait abnormalities enables a Podiatrist to design shoes and orthotics that can offer pain relief and minimize the risk of many troubles which the feet usually encounter.
