Camrose Podiatrist & Foot Clinic

Physicians at The Foot Institute – Camrose specialize in the surgical and medical therapy of the foot and ankle. Our doctors put in approximately 10 years in higher education, the first four years in undergraduate studies to secure a Bachelors Degree, and the 2nd 4 years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles conventional medical school and in fact quite a number podiatry programs are located within these institutions. After securing a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or residency for another one to three years.

Upon the conclusion of the internship or residency, our Podiatrists have acquired comprehensive healthcare education with a stress on concerns regarding the feet and ankles. They are trained to deal with difficulties ranging from regular ailments for instance, fungal and ingrown toenails, to those which are a lot more complicated for example clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at The Foot Institute have comprehensive surgical instruction which provide them the expertise needed to perform surgical treatment on those concerns that are best remedied through surgical treatment.

Our Doctors furthermore have a thorough expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs endure as we walk, run or perform other activities. Realizing biomechanics and gait abnormalities permits a Podiatric doctor to design shoes and orthotics that can deliver pain relief and minimize the risk of a large number of problems which the feet frequently encounter.
