Camrose Podiatrist & Foot Clinic

Doctors here at The Foot Institute – Camrose specialize in the surgical and medical therapy of the foot and ankle. They put in around 10 years in learning, the first four years in undergraduate studies to secure a Bachelors Degree, and the following 4 years in Medical School to receive a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to conventional medical school and several podiatry programmes are located inside these institutions. After acquiring a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or residency for another 1 - 3 years.

Upon the completion of the internship or residency, our Foot doctors have obtained substantial healthcare instruction with a main focus on concerns involving the feet and ankles. Our Doctors are educated to treat conditions ranging from conventional problems for example, fungal and ingrown toe nails, to those which are more complex for example, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our Doctors have considerable surgical training which furnish them the skill necessary to perform surgery on those troubles that are ideally remedied through surgical treatment.

Our Doctors furthermore have an extensive knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs go through as we walk, run or perform other activities. Realizing biomechanics and gait problems allows a Podiatrist to create footwear and orthotics which can provide pain relief and prevent countless issues which the feet normally encounter.
