Dr.’s at The Foot Institute – Airdrie concentrate on the medical and surgical treatment of the foot and ankle. Our podiatrists invest approximately 10 years in higher education, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to secure a Bachelors Degree, and the following four years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles general medical school and in point of fact several podiatry programs are contained inside these institutions. Upon obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute undertake a hospital "internship" or residency for yet another 1 - 3 years.

At the finalization of the internship or residency, our Podiatric physicians have gained encompassing health care instruction with a stress on concerns regarding the ankles and feet. Foot Institute Doctors are educated to treat conditions stretching from standard afflictions for instance, fungal and ingrown toe nails, to those which are more perplexing such as clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot.
