Dr.’s at The Foot Institute – Grande Prairie concentrate on the surgical and medical treatment of the ankle and foot. They devote around 10 years in learning, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the second four years in Medical School to have a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School corresponds to traditional medical school and various podiatry programs are located inside these academic institutions. After acquiring a Podiatric Medial Degree, Podiatrists at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or residency for yet another 1 - 3 years.

Upon the completion of the internship or residency, our Podiatric doctors have received extensive healthcare education with an attention to on difficulties concerning the ankles and feet. Foot Institute Doctors are instructed to deal with issues ranging from commonplace ailments like ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are more sophisticated for instance, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot.
