Our podiatrists spend approximately 10 years in higher education, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to achieve a Bachelors Degree, and the following four years in Medical School to attain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School corresponds to traditional medical school and in fact a number of podiatry programmes are located inside these schools. After receiving a Podiatric Medial Degree, Podiatrists at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for yet another 1 - 3 years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Podiatric physicians have obtained wide-ranging healthcare education with a stress on complications involving the feet and ankles. They are skilled to treat difficulties stretching from common problems like ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are more challenging such as clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot.
