They devote approximately ten years in learning, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to secure a Bachelors Degree, and the following four years in Medical School to secure a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School corresponds to conventional medical school and in fact various podiatry programs are contained within these schools. Upon acquiring a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or residency for yet another one to three years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Podiatric doctors have acquired wide-ranging medical training with an emphasis on difficulties pertaining to the ankles and feet. Foot Institute Doctors are instructed to treat issues ranging from commonplace disorders such as ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are even more obscure for instance, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot.
