They spend an average of a decade in learning, the first four years in undergraduate studies to receive a Bachelors Degree, and the next 4 years in Medical School to have a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles regular medical school and several podiatry programmes are contained inside these schools. After acquiring a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute perform a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for yet another one to three years.
