After achieving a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute carry out a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for an additional one to three years.

At the finalization of the internship or residency, our Podiatric doctors have gained substantial medical training with a main focus on problems concerning the feet and ankles. Our Doctors are educated to manage complications varying from commonplace ailments like fungal and ingrown toe nails, to those which are more puzzling such as clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Foot Institute Doctors also have a thorough expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet withstand as we walk, run or perform other tasks.
