Camrose Podiatrist & Foot Clinic

Doctors at The Foot Institute – Camrose concentrate on the surgical and medical therapy of the foot and ankle. Foot Institute Podiatrists spend about a decade in learning, the first four years in undergrad studies to attain a Bachelors Degree, and the second 4 years in Medical School to acquire a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to typical medical school and actually a number of podiatry programs are located within these institutions. After securing a Podiatric Medial Degree, Podiatrists at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or residency for another one to three years.

At the fulfillment of the internship or residency, our Doctors have received extensive healthcare training with an emphasis on difficulties concerning the ankles and feet. They are trained to address difficulties stretching from typical afflictions such as fungal and ingrown toe nails, to those which are even more obscure including clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our Doctors have extensive surgical education which furnish them the practical experience essential to carry out surgery on those troubles that are ideally treated through surgical treatment.

Foot Institute Doctors furthermore have an extensive expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet endure as we walk, run or perform other tasks. Having knowledge of biomechanics and gait deviations allows a Foot doctor to design shoes and orthotics that can provide pain relief and defend against countless issues which the feet regularly experience.
