They put in an average of a decade in education, the first four years in undergrad studies to get a Bachelors Degree, and the second 4 years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to conventional medical school and in point of fact many podiatry training programs lie within these schools. Upon securing a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or residency for another 1 to 3 years.

Our Doctors furthermore have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet endure as we walk, run or perform other activities. Knowing biomechanics and gait peculiarities enables a Podiatrist to develop shoes and orthotics which can bestow pain relief and prevent countless complications which the feet frequently experience.
