They devote approximately ten years in learning, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to acquire a Bachelors Degree, and the next four years in Medical School to attain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Upon obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute undertake a hospital "internship" or residency for another one to three years.
