Podiatric Medical School corresponds to typical medical school and in reality many podiatry training programs are contained inside these schools. Upon achieving a Podiatric Medial Degree, Podiatrists at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or residency for yet another 1 to 3 years.

At the conclusion of the internship or post degree residency, our Podiatrists have received comprehensive health care instruction with a main focus on conditions involving the ankles and feet. They are instructed to manage problems ranging from simple afflictions for instance fungal and ingrown toenails, to those which are more puzzling including clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot.
