At the conclusion of the internship or residency, our Doctors have gained encompassing medical training with a stress on issues pertaining to the ankles and feet. Foot Institute Doctors are trained to handle problems varying from conventional problems for example, ingrown and fungal toenails, to those which are even more perplexing for example clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our physicians have thorough surgical education which provide them the prior experience needed to conduct surgery on those problems that are best managed through surgical intervention.

Doctors at the Foot Institute additionally have a thorough expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs undergo as we walk, run or perform other activities. Recognizing biomechanics and gait peculiarities makes it possible for a Podiatric doctor to create footwear and orthotics that can offer pain relief and protect against a large number of conditions which the feet normally encounter.
