Foot Institute Doctors put in an average of ten years in education, the first 4 years in undergrad studies to secure a Bachelors Degree, and the 2nd 4 years in Medical School to secure a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to usual medical school and in point of fact several podiatry training programs are contained within these academic institutions. Upon receiving a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or residency for another one to three years.

Upon the completion of the internship or post degree residency, our Podiatrists have received comprehensive medical instruction with an attention to on problems regarding the feet and ankles. Our Doctors are taught to treat complications stretching from common afflictions for instance ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are even more complex including clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our physicians have extensive surgical education which supply them the prior experience necessary to execute surgical treatment on those problems that are ideally handled through surgical intervention.

Foot Institute Doctors likewise have a comprehensive expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs withstand as we walk, run or carry out other activities. Learning about biomechanics and gait problems permits a Podiatrist to create footwear and orthotics which can offer pain relief and avoid a large number of conditions which the feet typically encounter.
