Upon getting a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute perform a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for another one to three years.

At the conclusion of the internship or residency, our Doctors have received significant medical instruction with a main focus on difficulties concerning the feet and ankles. Foot Institute Doctors are taught to manage problems varying from standard ailments such as fungal and ingrown toe nails, to those which are much more obscure like clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at The Foot Institute have considerable surgical training which supply them the practical experience crucial to execute surgical treatment on those problems that are best treated through surgical intervention.

Our Doctors furthermore have an extensive expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet undergo as we walk, run or perform other tasks. Realizing biomechanics and gait deviations makes it possible for a Foot doctor to design footwear and orthotics that can bestow pain relief and reduce the chances of a large number of issues which the feet routinely encounter.
