They spend about 10 years in education, the first 4 years in undergrad studies to acquire a Bachelors Degree, and the second four years in Medical School to receive a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School corresponds to traditional medical school and actually many podiatry training programs are located within these institutions. Upon receiving a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or residency for an additional one to three years.
