They invest around 10 years in higher education, the first four years in undergrad studies to secure a Bachelors Degree, and the 2nd four years in Medical School to secure a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School corresponds to typical medical school and in fact several podiatry programmes are located within these schools. After acquiring a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or residency for an additional one to three years.

At the finalization of the internship or residency, our Foot doctors have received extensive medical instruction with a stress on complications regarding the ankles and feet. Our Doctors are educated to treat issues stretching from typical problems for instance, fungal and ingrown toe nails, to those which are more perplexing like clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our physicians have considerable surgical instruction which provide them the prior experience necessary to conduct surgical treatment on those concerns that are best managed through surgical treatment.

Doctors at the Foot Institute likewise have a comprehensive expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs undergo as we walk, run or perform other activities. Recognizing biomechanics and gait deviations enables a Foot doctor to create shoes and orthotics that can bestow pain relief and reduce the chances of many complications which the feet regularly experience.
