Podiatric Medical School is similar to general medical school and in fact numerous podiatry programs are located within these institutions. After achieving a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for an additional 1 to 3 years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Foot doctors have received significant health care training with an emphasis on difficulties pertaining to the ankles and feet. They are trained to treat concerns ranging from general conditions for instance ingrown and fungal toenails, to those which are a lot more obscure like clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot.
