Doctors here at The Foot Institute – Camrose provide services for the medical and surgical treatment of the ankle and foot. Our doctors spend around ten years in education, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the next four years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to typical medical school and several podiatry programs are located inside these institutions. After obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute undertake a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for another 1 - 3 years.

At the conclusion of the internship or residency, our Foot doctors have received significant health care training with a focus on difficulties regarding the ankles and feet. Our Doctors are studied to address issues ranging from simple ailments for example, ingrown and fungal toenails, to those which are much more intricate for example clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our Doctors have significant surgical training which provide them the experience required to perform surgery on those problems that are best treated through surgical treatment.

Foot Institute Doctors likewise have a thorough knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet receive as we walk, run or carry out other activities.
