Podiatric Medical School corresponds to typical medical school and quite a number podiatry training programs are located inside these academic institutions. Upon receiving a Podiatric Medial Degree, Podiatrists at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or residency for another one to three years.

At the fulfillment of the internship or post degree residency, our Podiatrists have received extensive healthcare training with a stress on complications involving the ankles and feet. They are educated to treat complications stretching from familiar disorders like ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are more intricate like clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our physicians have substantial surgical training which provide them the prior experience necessary to execute surgical treatment on those complications that are best treated through surgical intervention.

Foot Institute Doctors furthermore have a thorough expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs withstand as we walk, run or perform other activities. Realizing biomechanics and gait deviations enables a Podiatrist to design shoes and orthotics that can offer pain relief and help prevent many issues which the feet frequently experience.
