Foot Institute Doctors devote approximately a decade in learning, the first four years in undergraduate studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the following four years in Medical School to acquire a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles conventional medical school and several podiatry programmes lie within these schools. After obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Podiatrists at the Foot Institute perform a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for another one to three years.

At the completion of the internship or post degree residency, our Foot doctors have received considerable medical training with a main focus on concerns involving the feet and ankles. Our Doctors are skilled to deal with difficulties stretching from basic afflictions such as fungal and ingrown toenails, to those which are far more challenging such as clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our Doctors have extensive surgical instruction which supply them the experience necessary to execute surgery on those problems that are ideally managed through surgical intervention.

Foot Institute Doctors also have a thorough expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet withstand as we walk, run or perform other tasks. Realizing biomechanics and gait deviations enables a Podiatrist to create shoes and orthotics that can give pain relief and minimize the risk of a large number of complications which the feet regularly encounter.
