Camrose Podiatrist & Foot Clinic

Physicians at The Foot Institute – Camrose specialize in the medical and surgical therapy of the ankle and foot. Our podiatrists devote around 10 years in higher education, the first 4 years in undergrad studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the 2nd 4 years in Medical School to acquire a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles typical medical school and in reality several podiatry programmes are contained within these schools. After receiving a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute perform a hospital "internship" or residency for an additional one to three years.

Upon the completion of the internship or post degree residency, our Podiatrists have obtained extensive healthcare instruction with an importance on complications concerning the ankles and feet. Foot Institute Doctors are instructed to treat difficulties ranging from general ailments for example, ingrown and fungal toenails, to those which are much more puzzling such as clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at The Foot Institute have comprehensive surgical training which furnish them the experience crucial to perform surgery on those concerns that are best treated through surgical intervention.

Our Doctors furthermore have a thorough practical knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet receive as we walk, run or perform other activities. Recognizing biomechanics and gait irregularities empowers a Podiatrist to create footwear and orthotics which can give pain relief and avoid countless conditions which the feet normally experience.
