Foot Institute Doctors put in an average of 10 years in higher education, the first 4 years in undergrad studies to get a Bachelors Degree, and the 2nd four years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School corresponds to traditional medical school and in fact several podiatry programmes are contained within these institutions. After receiving a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or residency for yet another 1 - 3 years.

At the fulfillment of the internship or residency, our Doctors have gained encompassing medical instruction with an importance on difficulties pertaining to the feet and ankles. Our Doctors are studied to treat problems ranging from general problems like ingrown and fungal toenails, to those which are a lot more intricate like clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at The Foot Institute have comprehensive surgical education which furnish them the practical experience crucial to carry out surgical treatment on those issues that are ideally treated through surgical intervention.

Our Doctors furthermore have a comprehensive practical knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet experience as we walk, run or perform other activities. Knowing biomechanics and gait deviations makes it possible for a Podiatric physician to create shoes and orthotics which can offer pain relief and help prevent many complications which the feet normally encounter.
