After attaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute undertake a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for an additional one to three years.

Upon the completion of the internship or residency, our Podiatric doctors have obtained extensive medical training with an emphasis on concerns pertaining to the ankles and feet. Foot Institute Doctors are skilled to treat conditions stretching from standard disorders for instance, ingrown and fungal toenails, to those which are more complex for instance, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our Doctors have extensive surgical training which supply them the practical experience vital to execute surgical treatment on those conditions that are best treated through surgical intervention.

Foot Institute Doctors also have a thorough practical knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet undergo as we walk, run or carry out other tasks. Knowing biomechanics and gait irregularities allows a Podiatrist to design footwear and orthotics which can give pain relief and prevent many conditions which the feet commonly experience.
