Foot Institute Doctors devote an average of 10 years in higher education, the first four years in undergrad studies to attain a Bachelors Degree, and the next four years in Medical School to get a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to typical medical school and in fact several podiatry programs are contained inside these schools. Upon attaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Podiatrists at the Foot Institute carry out a hospital "internship" or residency for another one to three years.

Upon the finalization of the internship or post degree residency, our Foot doctors have acquired substantial health care training with a stress on problems involving the feet and ankles. They are trained to treat problems ranging from regular disorders for example, fungal and ingrown toe nails, to those which are far more perplexing for instance, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our physicians have substantial surgical training which give them the prior experience required to execute surgical treatment on those problems that are best handled through surgical treatment.

Foot Institute Doctors furthermore have an extensive expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs go through as we walk, run or carry out other activities. Realizing biomechanics and gait deviations enables a Podiatric doctor to create shoes and orthotics which can offer pain relief and help prevent many troubles which the feet commonly experience.
