Foot Institute Podiatrists invest approximately 10 years in education, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to secure a Bachelors Degree, and the next four years in Medical School to get a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to traditional medical school and numerous podiatry programs are located inside these schools. After obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or residency for another one to three years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Podiatric physicians have received substantial health care training with an emphasis on problems pertaining to the feet and ankles. Our Doctors are studied to treat concerns stretching from simple conditions such as fungal and ingrown toe nails, to those which are far more obscure for example, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at the Foot Institute have substantial surgical instruction which give them the expertise needed to execute surgical treatment on those concerns that are best managed through surgical intervention.

Foot Institute Doctors furthermore have a comprehensive expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs go through as we walk, run or perform other tasks. Recognizing biomechanics and gait problems makes it possible for a Podiatric doctor to develop shoes and orthotics that can deliver pain relief and prevent countless issues which the feet usually encounter.
