Foot Institute Doctors devote about ten years in higher education, the first 4 years in undergrad studies to achieve a Bachelors Degree, and the second 4 years in Medical School to acquire a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles standard medical school and in fact several podiatry training programs are located inside these schools. Upon obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or residency for an additional 1 - 3 years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Doctors have acquired wide-ranging medical training with a stress on concerns regarding the ankles and feet. Our Doctors are trained to deal with issues ranging from commonplace ailments for instance, ingrown and fungal toenails, to those which are even more puzzling for example clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at The Foot Institute have extensive surgical training which furnish them the experience necessary to perform surgical treatment on those complications that are ideally handled through surgical intervention.

Our Doctors also have an extensive knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs undergo as we walk, run or perform other tasks.
