Dr.’s at The Foot Institute – Grande Prairie specialize in the medical and surgical therapy of the foot and ankle. They invest an average of 10 years in higher education, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to attain a Bachelors Degree, and the second four years in Medical School to attain a Podiatric Medical Degree. At the finalization of the internship or residency, our Podiatric doctors have obtained substantial medical training with a focus on concerns pertaining to the feet and ankles. They are skilled to treat complications extending from commonplace ailments for example, ingrown and fungal toenails, to those which are far more perplexing such as clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at the Foot Institute have extensive surgical education which furnish them the experience crucial to perform surgery on those issues that are best remedied through surgical intervention.

Our Doctors furthermore have an extensive practical knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet undergo as we walk, run or perform other activities. Knowing biomechanics and gait abnormalities permits a Podiatrist to design shoes and orthotics which can deliver pain relief and prevent countless problems which the feet generally encounter.
