Foot Institute Doctors invest approximately ten years in education, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the second four years in Medical School to have a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to traditional medical school and in fact a number of podiatry programmes are located within these schools. After achieving a Podiatric Medial Degree, Podiatrists at the Foot Institute undertake a hospital "internship" or residency for an additional 1 - 3 years.

Upon the conclusion of the internship or residency, our Podiatric physicians have obtained considerable medical training with an attention to on concerns concerning the ankles and feet. They are skilled to deal with issues extending from common problems such as fungal and ingrown toe nails, to those which are even more complicated such as clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot.
