They invest an average of 10 years in higher education, the first four years in undergrad studies to attain a Bachelors Degree, and the following 4 years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to typical medical school and in fact various podiatry training programs are located inside these schools. After receiving a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute carry out a hospital "internship" or residency for another one to three years.

At the finalization of the internship or residency, our Podiatric physicians have gained wide-ranging medical instruction with a main focus on concerns regarding the ankles and feet. Foot Institute Doctors are taught to manage concerns ranging from standard afflictions for example, fungal and ingrown toenails, to those which are much more perplexing including clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our Doctors have considerable surgical training which furnish them the experience necessary to execute surgical treatment on those troubles that are ideally remedied through surgical treatment.

Our Doctors also have a thorough practical knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs submit to as we walk, run or perform other tasks. Understanding biomechanics and gait irregularities permits a Podiatrist to design shoes and orthotics which can bestow pain relief and reduce the chances of many troubles which the feet routinely encounter.
