They devote an average of 10 years in higher education, the first four years in undergrad studies to attain a Bachelors Degree, and the next four years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School corresponds to regular medical school and as a matter of fact several podiatry training programs are located inside these academic institutions. At the finalization of the internship or residency, our Podiatric doctors have received comprehensive health care instruction with an importance on difficulties regarding the feet and ankles. They are skilled to manage concerns stretching from typical problems for example, fungal and ingrown toenails, to those which are a lot more puzzling such as clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our Doctors have comprehensive surgical instruction which provide them the prior experience necessary to perform surgery on those concerns that are best treated through surgical intervention.

Our Doctors likewise have a thorough practical knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs undergo as we walk, run or carry out other activities. Having knowledge of biomechanics and gait abnormalities allows a Podiatrist to create shoes and orthotics that can bestow pain relief and defend against numerous troubles which the feet normally encounter.
