Dr.’s at The Foot Institute – Grande Prairie specialise in the surgical and medical treatment of the foot and ankle. Foot Institute Doctors invest around ten years in learning, the first four years in undergraduate studies to receive a Bachelors Degree, and the following 4 years in Medical School to receive a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to usual medical school and in fact many podiatry programs lie within these schools. Upon the fulfillment of the internship or residency, our Podiatric doctors have received extensive medical training with an emphasis on conditions regarding the feet and ankles. Our Doctors are taught to address difficulties ranging from regular ailments for instance, ingrown and fungal toenails, to those which are much more obscure like clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at The Foot Institute have comprehensive surgical education which supply them the practical experience crucial to carry out surgery on those concerns that are ideally treated through surgical intervention.
