Podiatrists at The Foot Institute – Airdrie specialise in the surgical and medical therapy of the foot and ankle. Foot Institute Podiatrists devote an average of a decade in higher education, the first four years in undergraduate studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the second four years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to typical medical school and actually many podiatry programs are contained inside these institutions. At the completion of the internship or post degree residency, our Podiatric physicians have obtained encompassing health care education with a stress on concerns pertaining to the ankles and feet. Our Doctors are taught to manage issues ranging from familiar conditions for instance, fungal and ingrown toenails, to those which are much more complicated including clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at The Foot Institute have thorough surgical training which provide them the experience necessary to perform surgical treatment on those problems that are ideally treated through surgical treatment.
